SYSID 2006 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
All submitted papers must conform to the guidelines specified in the
IFAC Instructions for Authors.
While there are many details specified in this document, among the most important are
-
Papers should be prepared in double column format suitable for direct
printing onto A4 paper (8.3in x 11.7in/210mm x 297mm) paper, justified,
and using Times Roman 10pt typeface. Ensure that the typing
area (centred) matches exactly that shown in the specimen pages. Do
not number pages on the front, as page numbers will be added
separately for the preprints and the Proceedings.
-
The first page should include:
- Title (maximum 10 words);
- Each author's name and affiliation, including present address;
- Abstract (50-100 words), giving a brief account of the most relevant
aspects of the paper;
- Five to ten keywords taken from the official
IFAC keyword list.
-
Use single line spacing throughout. Do not indent the initial lines of
paragraphs. Leave a line clear between paragraphs.
There are streamlined ways of achieving this and other details of the required format for paper submissions:
Using LaTeX
The recommended method for easily satisfying the required paper submission
format is to use the LaTeX typsetting package together with the
IFAC Meeting Class File.
Using Microsoft Word
This is not the recommended method. However an
example file is available which authors can use as a starting template for their submission;
Generation of PDF
Both
brief
and
detailed support is provided for generating PDF files suitable for submission.
